Dear AdNet Employees, Clients and Friends;
According to the Oxford Dictionary, the word legacy means “the long-lasting impact of particular events, actions, etc. that took place in the past, or of a person’s life” but it often means a multitude of things to each individual living person.
In the first season finale of Room at the Table, I am joined by my cherished friend, Lisa Carreño, President and CEO of United Way of the Wine Country in California. In this episode, we talk about our personal journeys of finding our voices and building the confidence to speak up for ourselves as well as others. I encourage you to take a listen to this episode and reflect on what legacy means to you and what you want it to look like to those closest to you. Remember, the up and coming generations are watching us closely and through our legacy we get to right the wrongs, so they get to thrive.
At 61 years young, I am constantly working on my legacy of creating a healthy workplace while guiding our customers and employees to thrive in the evolving world of work. Empowering and protecting the LGBTQ+ community through my work with the Maryland LGBT Chamber and Foundation is close to my heart. I want to attract people who have different opinions than mine to engage in conversation that’s a sharing of views, not a debate. Imagine if we could use our differences to create more opportunity for everyone!!! Every step I take where I have influence, I take those steps mindfully to make the world a better place for my kids and grandkids generations.
Thank you to everyone who has listened each month to the first season of Room at the Table! Stay tuned for an exciting 2nd season.
May your legacy bring you and those around you joy, hope and love.
Warm regards, Betsy Cerulo
